The James Ballentine VFW main event hall is the perfect Uptown host for corporate events and parties, luncheons, event dinners, meetings, presentations, fundraisers, and private parties of all types. This ideal location in the heart of Minneapolis is a mid-century building recently renovated for 2019. The event hall seating arrangements are flexible, we provide comfortable seating for 145 people or the room can operate as a 440 person capacity music venue and dance club. Our building is complete with three separate bars, a full service restaurant and in-house catering for large groups, capable of feeding your entire guest list.

The karaoke bar has been featured on Esquire TV’s Best Bars of America with upgrades to accommodate the latest audiovisual technology. Other recent awards include being voted “Best Party Bar” by City Pages, Best of the Twin Cities 2017, and “Best Karaoke” several years in a row. Conveniently located just north of Lake Street on Lyndale Avenue, we provide access to major freeways and complimentary parking.

Our location features a massive dance floor, dance lighting including hazer machines, laser lights, a disco ball, digital video projection screens, and a professional performance stage with a full PA system.
